Last Saturday I was sitting in a yoga class waiting for it to start. I had just finished a spin class a few hours before that and so this was just a 90 minute stretch that I like to do on Saturdays. I overheard a conversation next to me that went kind of like this:
woman: 'I hear you are going on a LONG bike ride tomorrow?'
man: 'Yes, up the coast'
woman: 'How far are you going to ride?'
man: 'About 20 miles.'
woman: 'Wow! Good for you! how long will that take you? About 90 minutes?'
man: 'Yes about that.'
woman: 'Wow that is GREAT!'
It was about this point that class started, but in reality I couldn't stop thinking about how skewed my perspective may be about what most people consider a long ride, run etc. I mean my friends think it is perfectly normal to run 10 miles on Wednesdays at 5:45 a.m.,a long ride means over 50 miles, and swimming less than a mile - why bother? We tend to think our level of activity is normal because we are surrounded by atypically uber fit humans. I am not suggesting that we all become couch potatoes or find new friends, but next time you feel guilty that you are only going to run 5 miles today, or going on a short 15 mile bike ride, and you are not able to fit more than 1600 yards in for a swim - remember that our perspective may be slightly skewed.

Life finds its wealth by the claims of the world, and its worth
by the claims of love.

I opine that to get the credit loans from creditors you should present a good reason. But, one time I have received a student loan, just because I wanted to buy a bike.
